Last week, the Every Child Counts Program team organized Diwali celebrations with a difference at several construction sites and temporary dwellings.
The parents were invited to join with their children. Volunteers from Wipro, Sandvik, Infosys and Geometric joined the ECC team and organized the "Diyas" and "Vats". The parents brought "Oil" for the lamps. The parents, volunteers and ECC field staff lit the lamps together and collectively and symbolically pledged to "light the lamp of education in the lives of their children" .
