Under the Grow with Books initiative by DSS, students were given information about biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste and the harmful effects of plastic. They learned about the pros and cons of using plastic and paper.
During this class, the students also learned paper art, in which newspapers and cardboard was used.
The children made a bicycle, a sunflower, a crocodile, a compass box and a bowl from paper. They also made paper bags, pen stands, a paper fan and even a cricket bat, ball and stumps.
Thus, they unleashed their creativity while also learning about the effects of plastic on the environment.
