Weekly Reading Circle - 10

In this week's Weekly Reading Circle at Door Step School Foundation, we read and engage with the article "शिक्षा के उद्देश्य" written by Shivani Taneja. 

Shivani, an educationist based in Bhopal, runs Muskaan, an NGO that works with children and young individuals from marginalized communities through education. 

The discussion post reading the article centered around questions and key ideas like:

1. Different Aims of education, such as for literacy, to remove different fears of parents, children, communities, to have a choice and control of choices, etc. 

2. What kind of discrimination do children from the margins face in the classroom and schools? Some experiences were shared. 

3. What expectations do parents and children from the margins have from education?
