Nandu, who belongs to UP has been living with his family of four in Dagadkhan for about a year. DSS has helped enroll his son in a nearby school. He works as a laborer in the stone quarry which closed in March due to lockdown. Nandu has not received any payment since. He had to face a lot of hardship as he had no food or money at home. The quarry owner has not helped him in any way. The supervisor informed him about the Coronavirus and how no one was allowed to travel. He cannot avail of the benefits of the government either. The DSS team had been working around that site when they got to know about Nandu’s situation. When DSS gave him a bag of rations he was very grateful as now his family would not starve.
